Smoke & Heat Detector Installation Services

Smoke and Heat Detectors

Having working smoke and heat detectors in your home is an absolute must, as you never know when they might save the lives of both you and your family. Whether you are a homeowner, landlord or employer, getting smoke and heat detectors installed should be your number one priority, if you haven’t installed them already.
At Pulse Electrical our engineers have years of experience installing smoke and heat detectors in homes, businesses and other buildings. We can’t think of a more important job than this one, which is why we ensure that all of our staff members are kept up-to-date with their training and understand perfectly how to fit smoke and heat detectors that could one day save someone’s life. Our smoke and heat detectors comply with local authority regulations and we only purchase detectors from reputable brands.
Why Not Use a Battery Powered Detector?
Many people ask why they should bother getting a smoke and heat detector hard wired into their property, instead thinking that a battery powered detector will be okay. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The hard wired detectors we fit have many advantages over their battery powered cousins, namely:
• They never run the risk of running out of batteries and leaving a home and its occupants vulnerable to fire.
• Battery powered alarms are not acceptable for most local authorities.
• Hard wired detectors are far more reliable, therefore making them the safer option for protecting your family.

Where to Install Your Alarms?

Working out where to install smoke and heat alarms in your home is something that many people struggle with, however we can take this pressure away. Our engineers have an intricate knowledge of where it’s best to place alarms and which types of alarms to use, and they will happily use this knowledge to help you.
A typical home will have an interconnected system of smoke and heat alarms, meaning that when one picks up heat/smoke, the alarm will sound on all of the detectors, not just one (unlike battery powered systems). We will nearly always recommend the installation of a heat detector in a kitchen, in order to stop false alarms through smoke, with the rest of the home covered by smoke alarms. Of course, we will take your opinions and the individual differences of every building into account when planning your system.

Mr R Gillespie

I arranged for Pulse Electrical to install a home alarm. They were able to advise knowledgeably about the most appropriate burglar alarm taking into account need and cost. When they came to install it they were on time, efficient and respectful towards each other and completely trustworthy. They patiently explained everything, answering all questions thoughtfully. The premises were left as clean and tidy as they found them. I consider Pulse Electrical give excellent value for their services. I wholeheartedly recommend this company.
